Reducing Red Eye

Reducing Red Eye

Red Eye! This is caused by light from your flash reflecting off the backs of your subjects’ eyes and into the camera. There are several ways of reducing red eye:

Reducing Red Eye1) Reduce the size of your sujects’ pupils, either by more ambient light, or by camera pre-flashes (the latter known as red-eye reduction).

‎2) Increase the angle of light from your flash, either by mounting it off-camera, or simply by moving closer to your subjects.

‎3) Ask your subjects to turn away from the camera slightly.

‎4) Use a flash diffuser, or place some tissue over the flash to diffuse the light slightly.
