Once again I really enjoyed meeting up with the East Kent Cameras group, this time for a shoot at Dover Castle. Typically, we were greeted by grey, flat light, and it was rather cold, too, so we went straight inside the keep to make the most of the beautiful interior.
To make things atmospheric, they keep it rather dark inside, so tripods and long exposures were the order of the day. I opted to revisit one of my previously favourite techniques – High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, get the very most from the brigh colours of the sets, and the gritty textures and tones deep in the tunnels. A good time was had by all!
